Ras’al Hadd/Turtles 4wd

You set out in the morning on a journey down the coast. You stop off at Mazara village, Bimah Sink Hole, a geological feature and a scenic wonder and the Finns beach where you can have your picnic. Pass by Qalhat , one of the oldest towns in Oman dating back to the 2nd Century AD before you reach the old East Africa port of Sur. Visit the dhow yards and a typical Omani village Ayjah before you reach Ras al Hadd. Check in at Ras al Hadd Hotel . After dinner visit the beach to observe the nesting habits of the green turtles. Day 2: After breakfast drive along the coast via the bluffs at Ad Dhaffa and on to the interior via the desert woodlands. Near Ibra you stop off at Al Mansfah, to see the ruins of an old mercantile community which knew it’s hey days hundreds of years ago. Return to Muscat through the Hajar mountains.
